TEHRAN – Iranian boxer Mohammad Azizi failed a performance enhancing drugs test.

The boxer has been banned for four years for using banned substance Androstenedione - a steroid hormone.

The boxer is ineligible from July 30, 2022 to July 29, 2026.

Androstenedione is a steroid hormone used by the body to make testosterone and estrogen.
